REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE PRESENTERS
ISES Northeast Region celebrates the 10th anniversary
of annual educational opportunity in NYC


The Northeast Region of the International Special Events Society (ISES) will host its 2009 Regional Education Conference (REC) in New York City at the Marriott Downtown, March 8 – 9. The 2009 event marks the 10th anniversary of this prestigious conference.

A commitment to professionalism and continuing education are fundamentals of ISES. The 2009 ISES Northeast REC Committee has developed a conference theme that captures these fundamentals as well as the undeniable spirit of the events industry in the Northeast – A Map to Success: Connecting Education to Innovation. To that end, this year’s conference will present an agenda that provides quality, learning opportunities for the variety of disciplines represented under the ISES membership umbrella. This 2009 REC Education Committee has reached well beyond the local ISES community to secure a wide array of industry and related industry experts.

Related Associations Collaboration
In the spirit of a unified special events industry, and recognizing that there are countless professional associations for related industries whose membership represents the best in their specialized fields, the ISES Northeast REC has invited several of these associations to share their knowledge by presenting sessions at the conference. The Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME www.adme.org) will present “Gaining a Competitive Edge by
partnering with Destination Management Companies.”
